Rhön region reports economic, social, and tourism successes

The Rhön region in Germany is seeing diverse successes across economic, social, and tourism sectors. RhönEnergie Fulda has been ranked as one of the ten most crisis-resistant companies in Germany according to a study by the SZ-Institut and Creditreform, based on long-term stability and economic indicators.

In Wildflecken, the Rhön-Festival successfully raised 60,500 euros to support the reconstruction of the Kissinger Hütte. The event drew approximately 10,000 visitors and involved 250 performers.

Additionally, the Rhön GmbH reported high success for its 2026 Star Park Weeks (Sternenparkwochen). The event, which focuses on night sky protection and tourism, attracted visitors from at least nine different German federal states, with 84 percent of respondents being first-time attendees.
