Viral AI-generated images depicting a collaboration between beauty brand Rhode and footwear company Hunter have circulated widely on social media. The mockups, created by Clauré Studio, feature Hunter rain boots in Rhode-inspired shades and include a specialized slot designed to hold lip gloss, a signature feature of Rhode products.

While the images gained significant traction and led some consumers to believe the partnership was real, no such collaboration exists. Experts note that while these AI concepts can highlight consumer desires and provide market insights, they also present challenges for retailers by creating false expectations and social media buzz that does not necessarily translate into actual sales.
