Rhodes hotel knife fight leaves two men injured
Two men were injured following a violent knife fight at a hotel located at the 6th kilometer of the Rhodes-Kallithea road on the night of October 22, 2026. The altercation, which reportedly began as a verbal dispute between the two residents, escalated into a bloody confrontation involving household knives.
One man was found lying in a pool of blood in the hotel's semi-basement area and was transported by ambulance to the Rhodes General Hospital. The second man fled to his room and barricaded himself inside, requiring intervention from the Crime Prevention and Suppression Unit (OPKE) to be detained.
Police seized several items from the scene, including a knife, a saw blade, and a handle without a blade, which have been sent for laboratory testing. Both men have been arrested and are being held for prosecution. While the exact motive for the fight remains unclear, reports suggest the individuals may have been under the influence of alcohol.
