Rhodes: Man arrested after minor involved in electric scooter accident

A 42-year-old man was arrested in Rhodes following a traffic accident involving his 11-year-old son, who was operating an electric scooter.

The incident, which occurred on Friday, October 16, resulted in material damage only, with no reported injuries. Investigations revealed that the child was below the required age limit to operate the vehicle and that the electric scooter lacked mandatory insurance coverage.

Police from the Rhodes Crime Investigation Sub-directorate arrested the father on charges of neglect of supervision and exposing a minor to danger. Legal proceedings are ongoing.
