Rhodes mourns the passing of orthopedic surgeon Manolis Petroniatis

The Rhodes medical community is mourning the death of Manolis Petroniatis, a prominent orthopedic surgeon. He passed away at the Rhodes Hospital following a battle with serious health issues.

Marios Klonaris, President of the Rhodes Medical Association, described Petroniatis as an exceptional doctor and individual who left an indelible mark on the Rhodes community through his medical service and civic engagement. The Association's Board of Directors is expected to convene to issue a formal resolution regarding his passing.

Member of Parliament Giannis Pappas also issued a condolence message, praising Petroniatis for his contributions to medicine, tourism, and local community life. Pappas noted the physician's integrity and humanity, highlighting his resilience in the face of personal tragedy. The funeral service is scheduled to take place on Monday at 15:00 at the Holy Church of Zoodochou Pigi in Kolymbia.
