Rhodes Music releases Clav Pro virtual Clavinet plugin
Rhodes Music has launched the Clav Pro virtual instrument, a software recreation of the rare 1977 Clavinet D6 “Transition” model. The plugin samples the original hardware to preserve its sharp attack, percussive bounce and expressive response that shaped funk, soul, disco and rock recordings.
Clav Pro adds modern controls such as dedicated Drive, Compression and Envelope/Wah sections, sustain‑pedal support and pitch‑bend capability, along with amplifier simulations, microphone options and the Rhodes FX suite. It is built on the same engine as Rhodes Anthology and is available now in VST3, AU and AAX formats for macOS and Windows.
“With Clav Pro the goal wasn’t only to recreate a vintage Clavinet authentically, it was also to capture the very essence and spirit of why players fell in love with the instrument,” said Dan Goldman, Chief Product Officer at Rhodes Music.
