Rhodian Baritone Demetrios Tiliakos to Perform Free Opera Concert in Rhodes

The Culture Directorate of the Municipality of Rhodes is staging a free opera evening on Monday, 10 August 2026 at 21:00 in the open‑air courtyard of the Palace of the Grand Master. The concert, titled “From Rhodes to the World’s Stages,” marks the return of native baritone Demetrios Tiliakos after three decades of an international career. He will be accompanied on piano by acclaimed Greek pianist Thanasios Apostolopoulos. The program features works by Maurice Ravel, Giuseppe Verdi, Giacomo Puccini, Umberto Giordano, Georges Bizet, Pietro Mascagni as well as a selection of notable Greek songs, and is billed as one of the summer’s most significant cultural events on the island.

The performance is free to the public and highlights the cultural heritage of Rhodes while showcasing Tiliakos’s lasting contribution to the global opera scene.
