Rhythm Doggo Steam Playtest Opens to All Players
Swedish indie developer Nicklas Nygren, known as Nifflas, and publisher 505 Pulse have opened the public Steam Playtest for their rhythm‑platformer Rhythm Doggo. After a closed test on June 15 for a limited Discord community, the playtest is now available worldwide, letting players experience a game where every jump, puzzle solution and movement shapes a procedurally generated soundtrack in real time.
The playtest offers six playable worlds across three distinct biomes, with visuals generated by cellular‑automation techniques inspired by Conway’s Game of Life. Rhythm Doggo is slated for a full PC release on Steam in 2027. The developers also announced a demo will appear at ChinaJoy 2026 in Shanghai, where the title earned a nomination for the ChinaJoy × Game Connection Best Music & Sound award.
The open test provides early feedback for refining the music‑driven mechanics, marking a key step toward the game's final launch.
