Bologna stadium project moves toward final decision for EURO 2032

Bologna FC and BolognaFiere are scheduled to hold a summit early next week to finalize decisions regarding a new stadium project. The development is critical for the club's candidacy for EURO 2032, which requires completed documentation by September 30.

The proposed project involves a significant investment, with BolognaFiere committing 200 million euros and the club covering costs for a football-specific stadium. To ensure the venue is multipurpose and capable of hosting major concerts and events, additional costs for features like a retractable pitch are being considered, potentially increasing the total expenditure by approximately 100 million euros. The interest of international promoters like Live Nation highlights the economic potential of a multifunctional arena for the region.
