Riachuelo and Liberal Party face potential investigation over Pix payments

A political investigation is being prepared in Aracaju, Sergipe, following allegations that Pix payments made at a Riachuelo department store were directed to the municipal directory of the Liberal Party (PL).

Camilo Daniel, an elected state deputy from the Workers' Party (PT), reported that a purchase of R$ 69.99 showed the PL as the recipient in the transaction details. Daniel stated that his team is currently gathering additional Pix receipts from other customers to file a formal criminal complaint with the Electoral Court.

The incident has raised questions regarding the legality of funds being transferred from retail transactions to a political organization. The investigation aims to determine if this was an isolated occurrence or a systemic issue involving multiple payments.
