Riau government announces end of motor vehicle tax fine waiver program

The Riau Provincial Government is implementing a program to waive administrative fines for Motor Vehicle Tax (PKB) to assist citizens in meeting their tax obligations. Ninno Wastikasari, Head of the Riau Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda), stated that the fiscal incentive is designed to provide relief for those with tax arrears.

The program is limited to the month of August, with only five days remaining at the time of the announcement. Under this scheme, taxpayers are only required to pay the principal tax amount. Specifically, for those who have not paid their principal tax for two years or more, the facility allows them to pay the principal tax owed for the last year plus the principal amount of previous arrears.
