Riba-roja de Túria to host Visigoth festival and river offering

Riba-roja de Túria will host the IX Festa del Dux from November 6 to 8, 2026, featuring a Visigoth-themed festival in the town's historic center. The event will include a themed market, historical reenactments such as the Pact of Tebdemir, falconry, and demonstrations of ancient crafts like blacksmithing and pottery.

The festivities will coincide with the VII Ofrena al Riu Túria on November 8, a tradition that returns after an eleven-year hiatus. Previous attempts to hold the event were postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the damage caused by the DANA weather event in October 2024, which impacted the Túria Natural Park and the historic Pont Vell.

The river offering, which has been recognized as a Provincial Tourist Interest since 2010, brings together riverside municipalities from Castilla-La Mancha, Aragón, and the Valencian Community to honor the Túria River. Mayor Robert Raga emphasized that the event aims to highlight the river's cultural and economic importance and the necessity of its protection.
