Navarre approves record 6,850 million euro spending ceiling for 2027

Various Spanish municipalities and regional governments have announced new budgetary and infrastructure developments.

The Government of Navarre has approved a record expenditure ceiling of 6,850.6 million euros for the 2027 General Budgets, representing an 8.4% increase over 2026. This expansion is driven by a projected 9.4% rise in non-financial income. Key increases include a 16.6% boost for the Department of Social Rights and over 10% for the Department of Health.

In Soria, the City Council reported a 2025 budgetary surplus of 4.7 million euros and a reduction in municipal debt by 3.1 million euros. Meanwhile, Ribadesella has approved a 10.3 million euro budget for 2026, utilizing treasury remnants to fund over twenty specific actions.

Infrastructure projects are also underway, including a new playground in Quintana with a budget of approximately 76,619 euros, a new public leisure space in Nestares funded 90% by the Government of La Rioja, and a comprehensive renovation of the San Telmo administration building in Palencia to improve accessibility and social service coordination.
