Ribadesella bridge to close completely for seven hours this Thursday

The Ribadesella bridge on the N-632 will undergo a total traffic closure this Thursday, October 8, from 09:00 to 16:00. The closure is necessary to facilitate structural and functional rehabilitation works managed by the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility.

The specific task involves the concreting of the foundation for pillar 3 from the bridge platform, a process that requires a complete interruption of vehicle circulation for approximately seven hours. During this period, drivers are advised to use the A-8 highway as an alternative route between the Llovio and Pando/Bones connections.

While vehicular traffic is suspended, pedestrian access and emergency services will remain permitted. Outside of this specific seven-hour window, the bridge will continue to operate with single-lane alternating traffic regulated by traffic lights.
