RibCage Games releases Alpha Nomos for PC and consoles
RibCage Games has announced the release of Alpha Nomos, a rhythmic action roguelite available on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Players control a character named Cello, who uses musical instruments as weapons to battle corrupted puppets in a world where music has disappeared. The gameplay requires players to synchronize attacks and abilities with the soundtrack's beat. Unlike some rhythm games that automatically adjust inputs to the tempo, Alpha Nomos registers actions at the exact moment the button is pressed, demanding high precision.
As players progress, they can collect musical enhancements inspired by production tools such as Reverb, Flanger, and Delay, which modify both character abilities and combat sounds. The game features a roguelite structure, allowing for different combinations of upgrades in each run, and includes a shop to unlock new movements.
