Ribeira Brava and Ribeira Grande announce local development initiatives
The municipality of Ribeira Brava is undertaking several infrastructure investments to improve mobility and public spaces. Key projects include a new square in Tabua costing 350,000 euros and road improvements on Estrada da Candelária and Estrada do Tranqual, each exceeding 500,000 euros. A major intervention on Rua dos Dragoeiros is expected to reach 1.5 million euros. Other planned works include road expansions in Lugar da Serra and connections to Curral Jangão and Estrada das Fontes.
In Ribeira Grande, local authorities are implementing an industrial tourism strategy to diversify the economy. The initiative focuses on repurposing historical factories for guided tours to highlight the region's industrial heritage. This approach aims to increase visitor numbers, create employment opportunities, and attract new investment to the area.
