Ribeirão Pires modernizes Municipal Civil Guard with new smart radios

The City Hall of Ribeirão Pires has announced an investment in public security technology with the acquisition of 56 new smart communication radios. The equipment, consisting of 52 mobile units and four fixed devices, will be used by the Municipal Civil Guard (GCM).

These devices feature advanced capabilities, including 2G, 3G, 4G, and Wi-Fi connectivity, Push-to-Talk (PTT) technology, high-precision GPS, cameras for image transmission, and noise-canceling audio systems. The technology aims to integrate the GCM with the ‘Smart Ribeirão Pires’ system, allowing for real-time location tracking and the use of operational applications directly from incident sites.

Additionally, the municipality has begun training its first class of GCM officers in the use of neuromuscular incapacitation weapons, commonly known as stun guns, following the receipt of 50 units through the Grande ABC Intermunicipal Consortium.
