Ribera d’Ebre prepares for Clotxa and Olive Oil gastronomic festival
The Ribera d’Ebre region in Spain is launching its annual gastronomic celebrations, centered around the traditional dish 'clotxa' and local olive oil. The 21st edition of the Festa de la Clotxa de la Ribera d’Ebre will be held in Garcia on Sunday, November 15, at the Piscines-Riu area.
As part of the broader Gastronomic Days of Clotxa and Olive Oil, various local restaurants will feature clotxa on their menus from November 7 to 29. The initiative also includes 'oleoturisme' experiences, allowing visitors to engage with olive oil production and the local landscape through activities hosted by regional producers.
The event in Garcia will feature olive oil tastings for adults and workshops for children aged 3 to 12. The clotxa, a traditional dish made with roasted country bread, onion, tomato, and garlic, typically served with herring or sardines, serves as a symbol of the region's agricultural heritage.
