Riberas del Bravo in Ciudad Juárez sets junk-collection record, permanent clean-point to be installed

The municipal "Punto Limpio a tu Colonia" program in the Riberas del Bravo neighbourhood of Ciudad Juárez recorded a historic amount of bulky waste (tiliches) collected over the weekend, surpassing previous totals. Director Gibran Solís Kanahan of the city’s Limpia department attributed the surge to strong participation by local families who used the five containers to dispose of furniture, mattresses and other large items.

In response to the demand, the five containers will remain in place until Tuesday, and the fixed clean‑point currently located in Parque Salvárcar will be relocated permanently to Riberas del Bravo. Authorities will announce the exact location in the coming days, aiming to keep the service close to the community that has shown high engagement in proper waste handling.
