Ribnica: Archbishop Stanislav Zore ordains Rok Gornik as deacon

Archbishop Stanislav Zore of Ljubljana ordained Rok Gornik to the diaconate during a ceremony at the Parish Church of St. Stephen in Ribnica.

During the service, Archbishop Zore emphasized that the diaconal ministry is a response to Christ's promise to remain with his people. He noted that a deacon is called to proclaim and interpret the Word of God, but stressed that the individual must first allow the Word to shape their own life through personal connection with God, humility, and spiritual maturity.

The Archbishop further described the diaconal mission as one of service during significant life moments, including providing comfort during times of grief and death, following the example of Christ by developing deep compassion for others.
