Ribnica hosts gathering of 400 brass musicians

More than 400 musicians from 15 different brass bands gathered in Ribnica for a meeting of the Dolenjska and Bela krajina brass bands. The event featured a parade through the Ribnica market square, where each orchestra showcased its unique sound, followed by a collective performance at Ribnica Castle.

Participating groups included orchestras from Ižana, Dobrepolje, Šentjernej, Črnomelj, Metlika, Semič, Kočevje, Stična, Šmarješke Toplice, Novo mesto, Trebnje, Kostanjevica na Krki, Straža, and the host Ribnica Brass Band. Emil Adamič, president of the Ribnica Brass Band, noted the positive atmosphere of the gathering. The event was attended by local officials, including Ribnica Mayor Samo Pogorelc, and leaders of the Slovenian Brass Band Association and the Regional Association of Brass Bands for Dolenjska and Bela krajina.
