Ric Flair hospitalized after fall in Tampa, Florida
Professional wrestling legend Ric Flair, 77, was hospitalized in Tampa, Florida, on Friday, October 23, after a fall outside a local restaurant. Reports indicate that Flair was at Wagamama when he stood up from the bar, leaving his phone and drink behind, and subsequently collapsed while attempting to cross the street.
The fall resulted in facial injuries, including significant bleeding from his head and eye area. While a concussion was suspected, medical professionals treated him at the scene before transporting him via ambulance to Tampa General Hospital.
The incident occurred only hours after Flair announced he was canceling a scheduled appearance at the Washington State Horror Convention due to a blood clot in his leg. He noted that doctors had restricted his travel to three to four hours. It remains unclear if the fall was directly related to the blood clot or his existing health concerns.
Flair has since been released from the hospital and is recovering at home. In a social media update, he thanked the medical staff and reassured fans that he is focused on his recovery. His daughter, Charlotte Flair, also provided an update, stating that he is going to be okay.
