Éric Miné, RN senatorial candidate, faces past neo-Nazi allegations

Éric Miné, a candidate for the Rassemblement National (RN) in the upcoming senatorial elections on September 27, is facing scrutiny over his past political affiliations and activities.

Reports from Le Canard enchaîné indicate that Miné was a militant in the neo-Nazi group FANE (Fédération d'action nationale et européenne), which was active in France during the 1970s and dissolved in 1987. Additionally, investigations by L'Humanité reveal that Miné managed the revisionist bookstore l'Æncre in Paris during the mid-1990s. The shop reportedly sold works by Nazi propagandist Joseph Goebbels and other antisemitic authors, leading to legal action and the banning of certain books in 1996.

Further revelations include social media posts where Miné allegedly dismissed the 1961 massacre of Algerians in Paris as 'disinformation' by the FLN. Miné, who has served as an RN consular advisor in Thailand-Burma since 2014, is running as a candidate for French citizens living abroad. As of the latest reports, neither Miné nor RN leaders Marine Le Pen or Jordan Bardella have responded to these allegations.
