Ricardo Barbosa withdraws from federal deputy race

Ricardo Barbosa, a former state deputy from the Progressistas (PP) party, has announced his withdrawal from the race for federal deputy. Barbosa stated that he decided to step down to serve as the campaign coordinator for federal deputy Aguinaldo Ribeiro, who is seeking reelection.

Barbosa noted that his decision aims to support the political project led by Governor Lucas Ribeiro. Having previously served two terms in the Legislative Assembly and been a top vote-getter in the 2018 elections, Barbosa intends to use his political experience to strengthen Ribeiro’s reelection efforts.
