Ricardo Cirielli testifies in corruption trial regarding Ricardo Jaime

During the “Cuadernos de la corrupción” trial, Ricardo Cirielli, former subsecretary of Aeronautical Transport and leader of the APTA union, testified regarding the alleged illicit activities of former Transport Secretary Ricardo Jaime.

Cirielli described a significant and rapid change in Jaime’s lifestyle and wealth during his tenure under the Néstor Kirchner administration. He testified that Jaime arrived in Buenos Aires from Córdoba with very limited resources, even needing assistance with food and lodging, but soon began displaying luxury items, expensive suits, and extensive jewelry.

The witness also provided testimony concerning Jaime’s movements toward the Casa Rosada. Cirielli stated he observed Jaime carrying bags to meetings with then-President Kirchner, noting that the brevity of some meetings led him to suspect the bags were being used to transport money. Cirielli noted that these conclusions were based on observations and accounts from employees who worked alongside the former official.
