Ricardo Juárez Debuts for FC Juárez in Liga MX Loss to Chivas

Seventeen‑year‑old defender Ricardo Juárez made his professional debut for FC Juárez, entering in the 82nd minute of the Apertura 2026 match against Club Deportivo Guadalajara (Chivas) at Estadio Akron. He replaced injured veteran Gilberto “Tiba” Sepúlveda as the team sought to preserve a clean sheet.

Chivas scored the only goal of the game in stoppage time, with Roberto “Piojo” Alvarado heading the ball past goalkeeper Sebastián Jurado. The defeat marked FC Juárez’s second consecutive loss. Juárez’s appearance was historic for Ciudad Juárez, as it was the first time three players born in the border city – Ricardo Juárez, Nevarez and González – shared the field in a Liga MX match.
