Ricardo Moreno reaches 67.5% approval rating in Toluca
Ricardo Moreno Bastida, the municipal president of Toluca, has achieved a 67.5 percent approval rating according to a survey conducted by GobernArte between July 25 and July 30. The study, which sampled 585 adult residents using artificial intelligence to ensure demographic and geographic representativeness, positions Moreno as the highest-rated mayor from the Morena party and the highest-rated male mayor in the study.
The approval follows the first 18 months of his administration. Key initiatives cited include the “Toluca se Llena de Luz” and “Yo Pongo Guapa Toluca” programs, the implementation of “Botones de Pánico” (panic buttons), and increased police presence in priority areas.
Infrastructure efforts have also been highlighted, including the operation of 24 wells to strengthen hydraulic infrastructure, the expansion of public lighting, and the development of secure paths in various communities. Additionally, the administration has utilized specialized machinery to rehabilitate roads in historically underserved areas to improve mobility.
