Ricardo Salinas Pliego Leads Opposition Preference for Mexico’s 2030 Presidential Race

A Territorial poll shows Mexican entrepreneur Ricardo Salinas Pliego, founder of Grupo Salinas, as the front‑runner among opposition figures for a possible PAN‑PRI‑MC alliance in the 2030 presidential election, capturing 32.5% of respondents’ preference. Former Chihuahua governor Maru Campos trails with 15.8%, and Nuevo León governor Samuel García of Movimiento Ciudadano follows at 9.9%. Salinas Pliego has not confirmed any intention to run, but recent surveys have repeatedly placed him at the top of hypothetical candidate lists.

The poll reflects growing speculation about a business‑backed candidate leading a broad opposition coalition against the ruling party, though the actual candidacy remains unannounced.
