Ronaldo Caiado slams Flávio and Eduardo Bolsonaro over embassy meeting and green‑card controversy
Presidential hopeful Ronaldo Caiado (PSD) has repeatedly attacked fellow right‑wing figures. He condemned Senator Flávio Bolsonaro’s remarks on electronic voting at a meeting with 42 foreign ambassadors, tweeting “42 embaixadores numa sala: dava para vender soja. Dava para abrir mercado para a indústria. Dava para atrair investimento. Escolheram falar de urna eletrônica!”. Caiado also mocked Eduardo Bolsonaro after the United States granted the ex‑deputy a green card, calling him “Pateta da Disney” and saying the politician “tropeça nos Estados Unidos”. Other intra‑party tensions surfaced: former minister Ricardo Salles suggested Eduardo Bolsonaro would be a stronger presidential candidate than Flávio, while discussions continue over Michelle Bolsonaro’s possible Senate run in the Federal District and Governor Tarcísio de Freitas’s participation in a PSD event. The disputes illustrate growing rivalry within the Bolsonaro‑aligned camp ahead of the 2026 elections.
