Ricardo Verduzco Bernal arrested in Utah with 11kg of fentanyl

Ricardo Verduzco Bernal, a former sports official from Guasave, Sinaloa, has been arrested in Utah, United States, on charges of fentanyl possession with intent to distribute. Verduzco Bernal previously held administrative roles in the Municipal Sports Institute of Guasave and the Sinaloa Institute of Physical Culture and Sports during the administration of Governor Rubén Rocha Moya.

The arrest followed an FBI investigation involving a controlled purchase of fentanyl, which led agents to a hotel room in Salt Lake County.
