Ricaurte celebrates rural traditions with cultural festival

The municipality of Ricaurte celebrated the 'Día del Campesino Ricaurteño' with a series of cultural, gastronomic, and recreational activities held at the Plaza de la Marimba. The event aimed to recognize the traditions, talent, and contributions of the rural population.

The festivities included an agricultural, agro-industrial, and gastronomic fair where local producers showcased regional wealth. Community members also participated in traditional games such as 'sapo' and 'parqués,' followed by a peasant music encounter. The celebration concluded with musical performances by the orchestras Nueva Integración and Cumbia 5.

The Municipal Mayor's Office, under the administration of Ricardo Benavides Morán, stated that these events are designed to strengthen culture, preserve traditions, and create meeting spaces for the community.
