Riccardo Muti's Villa Verdi event receives favorable review

The proposal for a musical event at Villa Verdi by Maestro Riccardo Muti has not been blocked, contrary to some reports. The Department for the Protection of Cultural Heritage has issued a favorable opinion on the initiative, describing it as consistent with the ongoing activities of protection, enhancement, and promotion at Villa Verdi.

Due to the significance of the event, the Department has referred the final decision to the Minister of Culture, Alessandro Giuli. The project, proposed by Muti and Cristina Mazzavillani, is envisioned as a televised event rather than a public concert. It would feature Muti performing piano pieces in the presence of prominent opera figures. Minister Giuli had reportedly already expressed his personal support for the project to Muti.
