Riccardo Nencini photography exhibition to open in Parma

The photography exhibition ‘Maestà’ by Riccardo Nencini is scheduled to open at Palazzo Giordani, the seat of the Province of Parma, on Thursday, September 10.

Curated by Patrizia Raggio, the exhibition pays tribute to various devotional images and religious shrines found throughout the territory. These include small bas-reliefs, votive shrines, and chapels located in abandoned houses, along old pilgrimage paths, or near ancient springs. The collection features works ranging from depictions of the Madonna and Saint Anthony Abbot to shrines of the Holy Family, some of which remain well-preserved while others have fallen into decay over time.

Alessandro Fadda, President of the Province of Parma, noted that the event marks the return of cultural activities to the Spazio ’51 at Palazzo Giordani following the summer break. The exhibition will be open to the public from September 10 to September 25, with morning hours on weekdays and additional afternoon sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
