Riccione allocates 30,000 euros for student disability transport
The Municipality of Riccione has allocated a special fund of over 30,000 euros to support school transportation for students with certified disabilities who lack autonomy. The measure provides direct economic contributions to resident families who manage the commute to local schools themselves using private vehicles or third parties.
The funding is intended for the 2026 calendar year, covering both the January–June and September–December periods. Eligible students include those attending nursery, primary, or lower secondary schools. To qualify, families must provide disability certification, demonstrate independent transport, and ensure the student maintains at least 50% school attendance.
Reimbursement amounts are based on distance. For trips up to 5 kilometers, the base annual contribution is 600 euros, increasing to 720 euros for families with multiple disabled students. For distances exceeding 5 kilometers, the base annual amount is 900 euros, which can rise to 1,080 euros for families with two or more disabled children. The total available fund is exactly 30,723.31 euros; if applications exceed this amount, the funds will be distributed proportionally to ensure all eligible recipients receive support.
