Riccione approves guidelines for first 14 private beach concessions

The municipal government of Riccione has approved guidelines for the first 14 private beach concessions. These five-year assignments specifically target the seaside portions of the beach intended for umbrellas and light equipment, rather than the fixed structures and cabins located further inland.

To encourage competition and support small to medium-sized enterprises, applicants will be limited in the number of lots they can win. The selection process will prioritize management quality over purely economic factors, with specific rewards for proposals focused on environmental sustainability, professional experience, and the employment of women and youth.

In addition to standard fees, concessionaires will provide an annual contribution to the Municipality of Riccione, which is intended to be reinvested into local tourism services and infrastructure.
