Richa Chadha gifts mechanical elephant to Kerala temple

Actress Richa Chadha visited the Gurupuram Sree Maha Vishnu Temple in Kerala to celebrate Onam with her daughter, Zuneyra. During the visit, Chadha unveiled a life-size mechanical elephant named Gurupuram Arjunan, which was gifted to the temple in collaboration with PETA India.

The initiative aims to provide a technological alternative to using live elephants during ceremonial occasions, promoting more compassionate ways to preserve cultural traditions. Chadha expressed her gratitude to the temple trustees for accepting the gift, noting that such measures allow magnificent animals to live freely in their natural environments while still maintaining the spirit of the festivities.
