Richard Carapaz finishes fourth in Vuelta a España

Ecuadorian cyclist Richard Carapaz finished fourth in the general classification of the Vuelta a España, following a series of aggressive attacks in the final week of the race. Carapaz, riding for EF Education-EasyPost, finished 6 minutes and 54 seconds behind the winner, Enric Mas of Movistar Team. The podium was completed by Primož Roglič in second place and Felix Gall in third.

Carapaz was a prominent figure in the mountain stages, notably launching a long-range attack in Stage 19 and attempting to close the gap on Gall during the queen stage between La Calahorra and Collado del Alguacil. Despite his offensive efforts, he was unable to secure a podium spot.

In the same race, the Burgos Burpellet BH team achieved its best historical result in the Vuelta a España. Rider Mario Aparicio secured 14th place in the general classification, a significant milestone for the team. The squad demonstrated high competitiveness throughout the 21 stages, participating in twelve breakaways.
