Richard Carapaz joins Andrés Iniesta’s NSN Cycling team

Ecuadorian cyclist Richard Carapaz will leave EF Education-EasyPost to join NSN Cycling, a project linked to former Spanish footballer Andrés Iniesta. The announcement, made on October 16, 2026, confirms that the Olympic gold medalist has signed a three-season contract.

Carapaz is scheduled to join the squad starting in the 2027 season and will remain through 2030. The move follows a successful 2026 season for Carapaz, which included stage wins at Alpe d’Huez and Orcières-Merlette during the Tour de France, as well as winning the mountains classification.

NSN Cycling, which operates with a Swiss license and an administrative base in Catalonia, seeks to bolster its roster with world-class talent. The team previously faced sponsorship challenges during the 2025 Vuelta due to public protests regarding its former sponsors.
