Richard Childress Racing announces new leadership appointments
Richard Childress Racing (RCR) has announced key leadership changes intended to strengthen its competition program and technological capabilities ahead of the 2027 NASCAR season.
Richard Boswell, who has served as the crew chief for Austin Dillon’s No. 3 Chevrolet for the past two seasons, will be promoted to Vice President of Competition. In this role, Boswell will oversee RCR’s competition efforts and performance, focusing on collaboration with partner Chevrolet. He will complete the current season as a crew chief before transitioning fully into his executive position.
Additionally, RCR has established a new role, Director of Development and Innovation, to be filled by Art Trejo. Trejo, a former United States Navy officer with experience at SpaceX, will lead the organization’s efforts to identify and implement emerging technologies. Chairman and CEO Richard Childress stated the changes are designed to ensure the team has the necessary leadership and technology to compete at the highest levels.
