Richard Danne joins Hofheim police station as community officer

Richard Danne, a community police officer (Schutzmann vor Ort), has transitioned from the Main-Taunus Police Directorate to being directly attached to the Hofheim police station. He serves the municipalities of Hofheim, Hattersheim, and Kriftel.

Danne has served as a fixed contact person for these communities for over three years, focusing on prevention and direct engagement with residents, including students and the elderly. His role involves networking with local clubs, businesses, and municipal officials to find solutions for local issues. He maintains a presence at the Hofheim weekly market once a month.

Tobias Erler, head of the Main-Taunus Police Directorate, emphasized that despite shifts in crime-fighting strategies, local community officers remain highly important for ensuring the police stay accessible and present within the immediate living environments of the citizens.
