Richard David Precht questions vaccine statistics following father's health decline

German philosopher Richard David Precht has expressed skepticism regarding the completeness of official COVID-19 vaccination statistics. Speaking on a podcast hosted by journalist Paul Ronzheimer, Precht shared personal experiences involving his father, who was 88 years old at the time.

Precht stated that after receiving a second dose of the vaccine, his father suffered a severe health collapse, including heart problems and acute short-term dementia. Precht noted that despite his requests, the hospital declined to report the incident to the Paul-Ehrlich-Institut as a potential vaccine injury, instead attributing the symptoms to age-related issues.

While Precht clarified that he is not alleging intentional manipulation, he suggested that suspected cases may frequently go unrecorded to avoid causing public uncertainty. He also criticized the pandemic-era debate culture, specifically regarding the vaccination of children and the perceived marginalization of critical voices in the media.
