Richard Flanagan to visit Sofia for CineLibri Festival

Australian Man Booker Prize winner Richard Flanagan is scheduled to visit Sofia, Bulgaria, as part of the 12th CineLibri International Film and Literature Festival.

On October 20, a special screening of the first episode of the series ‘The Narrow Road to the Deep North’ will take place at Vlaykova Cinema, followed by a live discussion with the author. On October 21, Flanagan will present his work at the ‘Peroto’ literary club.

The visit coincides with the Bulgarian release of his book ‘Question 7’, described by critics as a masterpiece that blends memoir, historical prose, and autobiography. The work explores interconnected historical events, ranging from the affair of H.G. Wells and Rebecca West to the experiences of Flanagan’s father, who worked near Hiroshima.
