Richard Gere films new movie ‘Asymmetry’ in New York

Actor Richard Gere is filming a new feature film titled ‘Asymmetry’ in New York City. Directed by Edward Zwick, the project is an adaptation of the 2018 novel by Lisa Halliday.

Gere stars as Ezra, a 70-year-old internationally recognized writer, who enters a secretive romance with a young editorial assistant named Alice, played by Diana Silvers. The film explores themes of age disparity and power dynamics.

Born in Philadelphia in 1949, Gere rose to prominence with roles in ‘American Gigolo’ and ‘Pretty Woman’. His career includes a Golden Globe Award for his performance in ‘Chicago’ and critical acclaim for ‘Arbitrage’.
