Richard Hawley joins Reverend & The Makers at Sheffield's Tramlines Festival

On Sunday, July 26, 2026, Sheffield’s Tramlines Festival saw veteran singer‑songwriter Richard Hawley step onto the Sarah Nulty Main Stage at Hillsborough Park to accompany Reverend & The Makers for the final song of their set, “Silence Is Talking.” Frontman Jon McClure introduced the collaboration with a personal tribute to his late father, John McClure Sr., and acknowledged his mother and brother in the audience.

The surprise appearance capped a set that included tracks such as “Bassline,” “Open Your Window,” and “Heatwave in the Cold North.” After the performance, McClure thanked Hawley and fellow Sheffield musicians on Instagram, describing the moment as “special” and highlighting the family’s presence. Reverend & The Makers are touring in support of their eighth studio album, *Is This How Happiness Feels?*, which follows their recent top‑10 release *Heatwave In The Cold North*.
