Richard Lawson signs with Devils amid Polish speedway updates

In the Polish Krajowa Liga Żużlowa, the Devils have announced the signing of British rider Richard Lawson. Lawson, who previously competed for Speedway Kraków, joins the team following a dispute with his former club that had led him to state he would no longer race in Poland. He replaces Kevin Woelbert and is expected to bolster the squad alongside existing leaders Kim Nilsson and Erik Riss.

Meanwhile, Ultrapur Omega Gniezno faced a difficult 2026 season marked by financial instability and player issues. Despite early successes, the team's performance declined due to injuries and unpaid service costs for riders like Kevin Fajfer. While riders such as Adam Ellis and Sam Masters provided strong performances, the club's financial difficulties significantly impacted their ability to compete for promotion.
