Richard Vogel reaches number one in FEI world rankings

German show jumper Richard Vogel has reached the number one position in the FEI world rankings, displacing American rider Kent Farrington. This marks the first time a German rider has led the rankings in five years, a feat last achieved by Daniel Deußer in 2021.

Vogel’s ascent follows several major achievements, including winning team gold at the World Championships in Aachen and securing the Grand Prix at the Stephex Masters in Brussels. His success has been supported by several key horses, specifically United Touch S, Cloudio, and Gangster Montdesir.

Vogel, who grew up in Binzwangen, attributed his success to his team and his horses, stating that while the title feels unreal, it serves as proof of the strength of his support system.
