Richarlison rejects Vasco da Gama's permanent transfer offer

Richarlison remains in a state of uncertainty at Tottenham Hotspur after failed attempts to secure a transfer during the recent window. The Brazilian forward has been excluded from match squads, with manager Roberto De Zerbi indicating he no longer has a place in the team.

Vasco da Gama, the player's childhood club, attempted to bring him back to Brazil. Vasco's sporting director, Admar Lopes, revealed that while an initial loan was ruled out due to international transfer regulations, the club successfully secured financial backing to make a permanent purchase offer. However, the negotiation collapsed because Richarlison refused the terms of a permanent transfer, citing that it was not the right time to return to Brazil.

Other potential moves, including interests from Everton and Trabzonspor, also failed to materialize. While Shabab Al Ahli from the United Arab Emirates reportedly made an offer, Tottenham rejected the proposal, intending to keep the player until at least December before reassessing his future in January 2027.
