Richarlison seeks reimbursement for R$ 10 million Angra dos Reis mansion dispute
Brazilian footballer Richarlison has publicly addressed a legal dispute regarding a mansion on Ilha Comprida, in Angra dos Reis, valued at approximately R$ 10 million. The player stated in social media videos that he does not wish to reclaim the property itself, but rather seeks to recover the funds he invested in the acquisition of the property's occupation rights.
The controversy dates back to 2020 and involves companies linked to the athlete and lawyer Willer Tomaz, an associate of Senator Flávio Bolsonaro. Following a 2025 ruling by the Superior Tribunal de Justiça (STJ) that favored the companies linked to the lawyer, the dispute has continued. Richarlison defended his claim, noting that the funds were earned through his professional football career and rebuffed critics who questioned his involvement due to his residence in Europe.
Additionally, the athlete disclosed that he donates approximately R$ 3 million annually to social causes in Brazil, including support for children requiring surgery and contributions to the Hospital de Amor in Barretos.
