Rick Devens wins Big Brother 28, setting record prize total

Rick Devens, a former contestant on ‘Survivor’, has won season 28 of ‘Big Brother’. Devens secured the victory with a 6-1 jury vote, defeating runner-up Taylor Brown.

In addition to the $750,000 grand prize, Devens earned $50,000 as America’s Favorite Player and $10,000 through the ‘Pharaoh’s Curse’ twist, bringing his total winnings to $810,000. This amount sets a new record for the most money won by a player in the history of the American version of the show.

The season finale was marked by Devens' decision to evict his close ally, Drew Campbell, after winning the final Head of Household competition. Host Julie Chen Moonves confirmed that the series has been renewed for seasons 29 and 30.
