Rick Owens debuts Spring 2027 collection in Paris

Designer Rick Owens presented his Spring 2027 collection at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris, featuring a runway built over a reflecting pool. The collection explored themes of stoicism and resistance through a contrast of delicate and rigid structures.

Key elements included stone-colored column dresses, some made of stiff fabrics and others of light, sheer materials. The designer introduced ‘brutalist lace,’ a black tulle gown with a spiky, grid-like surface, alongside sulfur-dyed denim tunics, flaring trousers, and asymmetrical skirts.

The presentation also featured avant-garde details such as models wearing metal torso structures with plush-covered rods and makeup with circular lashes to create an alien-like effect. Footwear included boots decorated with crystals and thick ropes of crystal wrapped around the feet.
